We now have 75  Red Sex Link organic laying hens.  They are a cross between Rhode Island Red and White Leghorns.  They each lay 1 brown egg per day.  We have them in a movable chicken pen with movable net fencing so it makes it very easy to move them every few days to new pasture.  They love the clover, grass, worms and, of course, cow paddies!  They also have non-organic laying pellets to eat as desired.  They are very friendly and vocal.  We currently are selling the eggs for $4.00 per dozen.  We changed to non organic laying pellet due to high cost instead raising the price of the eggs.
